seeing the sights.

wow this feels really foreign to me.

i'll admit that i attepted to post what's been going on lately, but i never finish. then i feel like it's outdated and start from scratch. so this time i'm hoping to finish this one.

one reason i decided to blog today was because of what someone told me at church. she gave me prophetic word that i had something to say and wasn't saying it. also, that something was holding me back from expressing what it was. the week before that, Johnny also gave me word that i needed a clean canvas to refresh my creativity because there's a wall built between me and making something beautiful.
for those of you who don't understand prophetic word, it's a way God gives a message to someone through someone else. it can be in a vision, a dream, etc... this is pretty new to me too. sometimes the word can be interpreted in the wrong way, but there's an underlying truth to it.
so far this is the second time someone has said something about my creative block so this is an effort break it.

so these past two months have been really crazy! not just in a partying, going out all the time sense, but overall in LIFE! i'm starting to realize that i really am moving too fast. for one, i feel like i just moved to Long Beach and next year i'll be ready to graduate!?!?! i really don't know why i put a bunch of things on my plate at once. i'm already busy enough with things i "need" to do and still add on everything i "want" to do. maybe life is too short for everything that i "want" and i can't have everything... it's sad but most likely true, and if you're telling yourself that everything and anything is possible, i'm sure if i showed you my bucket list that you would change your mind.

but back to the haps... uhmmmm i really want to put up pictures and videos, but i'll do that later because they're on my mac :P
okay well for my spring break, i decided to tour (almost) everywhere in LA that i haven't been to yet: The Ripley's Believe it or NOT Museum, The Guinness World Records Museum, The Wax Museum, The Getty, Venice Beach, etc... i'm pretty sure there's a lot of things i left out, but for the most part, YES they're mostly "museums" BUT they're all different! for my sister's spring break we continued the LA journey and took those big double decker tourist buses. they're pretty new so if you decide to go on them don't expect anything fancy. the nicest bus is the one that goes around Hollywood. look out for low tree branches and remember to wear sunblock! and i would advise you to pay with cash because their credit card "machine" takes about 10 mintues to process each card. we took the metrolink there and back and what i thought was the coolest thing about the tickets was that it tells you how much you pay to take the train compared to how much your gas would have cost if you drove (based on a 35 mpg car). my favorite part about the ride was that i got to see all the graf art up on the trains and walls around them. one thing i noticed was that the closer we got to LA the bigger and more elaborate they got.

as for what people bitch about to be another "man-made holiday" aka 4-20, i just want to let all of them know that mine was pretty freaking amazing. and if those same people who bitch about it being a man-made holiday are out there shopping on Black Friday, i salute all of them with my middle finger :)
ANYWAYS. it all started when Angel gave me the Magic Cookies...
after a long over due kick is sesh with the best friend, he hooked it up with some goodies to make my WEEK.
me and the boyfriend went to The Viper Room to watch Sashamon, Tribal Seeds and Rootz Underground. truth be told, the order in which the bands performed should have been switched around because the headliner wasn't even as good as the first opening act. i'll feel rude to name names, but all i have to say is if you're looking for some chill reggae to bob your head to, i highly recommend Rootz Underground. if you want a more upbeat sound, listen to Tribal Seeds, and if you need some of that island relaxation, listen to Sashamon :)

i wanted to write a piece on my cousin's birthday party and all the people who were there that i grew up with, but my eyelids are halfway shut. pls don't mind the typosssss
